How joining works.

Looking to join a Great Commission church-planting network? Here are four steps for existing churches to join GCC.

First step Connection

The first step in working together is a simple introduction. We need to get to know one another. We want to learn about you and your church, and you need to get to know us— what we believe [Link], what we think churches should do, how partnership works [Link], etc. If you’d like to learn about us, click here to download (or walkthrough online) the pertinent information. Or you can go here [Link] to start the application process and begin a conversation.

As God exists in Trinity, so we are made to exist in community. We are hard-wired for connection. Local churches are no different. Dave Harvey

Second step Assessment

After we learn a bit about one another, we’ll begin a process to determine how we fit together. We’ll talk more formally about what we each believe and what our desires are for planting churches. It’s during this time that we’ll go deep in conversation and prayer to ensure a healthy partnership moving forward.

Third step Equipping

Partnership is a two way street. For churches who are a part of GCC, there are a few things you can expect to experience:

  1. We foster and fund mission (sending men to plant churches in North America and abroad).
  2. We know what God has called us to build (6 Attributes).
  3. We are like a family encouraging one another through the highs and lows of ministry.
  4. We train and care for leaders (cohorts, resources, events, pastoral care).
  5. We provide an outlet for interdependence (connecting to something bigger than us to accomplish more than what we can do alone).
  6. We collaborate together.
  7. We fight to help each other finish well.

Fourth step Sending

After we learn a bit about one another, we’ll begin a process to determine how we fit together. We’ll talk more formally about what we each believe and what our desires are for planting churches. It’s during this time that we’ll go deep in conversation and prayer to ensure a healthy partnership moving forward.
